Fontrabiouse Grotto: A marvellous voyage and change of scenery...

In the north of Formiguères, at Fontrabiouse, you can visit a grotto discovered in 1958 thanks to excavation work in a onyx quarry. This cave, at a constant temperature of around 6°C all through the year, has been modelled throughout the years by the infiltration of water. Various rock formations of all shapes and sizes are dotted along the circuit.
The grotto is open all year (on reservation from September to June, without reservation in July and August).
